Hello everyone,
My name is Johanna I am 24 years old from
Miami,FL and I am currently weighing 303 pounds. I have lost 35 pounds in the past 3 months (slowly) and started last week working together with a personal trainer and feel the inches melting off.

I am married, no kids. I have been with my husband for the past 7 years married 3 years. Ever since I met my husband 7 years ago I have gained about 100-80 pounds (well we both have), not good I know. I have done many diets and they will work for a bit and then I will just gain it all back. I decided to do this on my own about 3 months ago and just watch what I eat without depriving myself of everything I liked (this way I won’t fall off track) and it has work. Slowly but surely....

My husband and I started with our personal trainer last Monday. I feel amazing and even more motivated now. In the past week and a half I have shed inches like crazy but not weight yet. I’m just ere looking for support buddies feel free to add me. Thanks!

Sounds like you and I have the same idea. I've decided to write everything I eat down and see where it goes from there. I'm not into dieting or not eating what I want so this seems like a better plan. When I write it down, it forces me to pay attention to what I put into my mouth. Thank you for the run down on all the super foods. I'm thinking of adding a bit of flax seed to my foods. I think I'll read up on it first, but thanks for the heads up. Best of luck to you. jam

35 pounds in 3 months, that's amazing! Way to go! I know it's rough getting started but once you see it starting to pay off it really is the best motivator, isn't it? :D I've gained weight since I've been with my boyfriend, too, but we like to go for runs together and cook healthy meals together - makes for a great, cheap, tasty date!

You're doing the right thing by eating what you like and not depriving yourself - the biggest issue with this is portion sizes, and choosing the right snack! I never deprive myself of anything, but if I do go for something bad, I'll just do a fifteen minute walk later that night and it works surprisingly well to keep my metabolism up.

I'm big on focusing on weight loss by not even paying attention to what the scale says - if you are losing inches and your pants are a little looser, that's way more progress than the scale telling you you're down two pounds. Muscle weighs more than fat, so you could build muscle and lose fat and not lose any weight! If I were you I'd focus on how great it feels to be inches thinner and don't even look at the scale!

You're motivating me as I'm typing this! haha Great job so far, keep it up, and we're all here to support you!
